Officers old and newCadets and staff at 59 (Huddersfield) and 1466 (Holmfirth) squadrons of the Air Training Corps recently held a dinner to mark the departure of their former commanders and formally ‘dine in’ their replacements.

The dinner also marked the 70th birthday of 59 Squadron, founded in February 1939.

Pictured (left to right) are Flight Lieutenant Gillian Baker, who replaces Emma Leech at Huddersfield; guest of honour Squadron Leader Ray Hoyle, who has commanded both squadrons in the past; and Flt Lt Neil Tindall, who is replaced by Flt Lt Kirsty Piccavey at Holmfirth.

Both squadrons parade on Monday and Friday evenings, and are keen to hear from potential new cadets or staff.
